The Sibford Old Scholars’ Association Committee fosters interaction between former scholars and staff and present day pupils and staff.
We aim to further school day friendships, and to enjoy the mutual benefits that can arise through a sustained relationship with the School and former scholars.
We aim to encourage a spirit of loyalty amongst present scholars and to assist the further development of the School.

The role of President is essentially to act as a figurehead and champion for the aims and objectives of SOSA.

The Retiring President supports the current and Vice President in their roles.

The General Secretary keeps the committee in order and makes sure it achieves its goals at the same time as serving the SOSA members.

The SOSA Treasurer keeps the organisation’s books and helps the committee members produce the annual report for the AGM.

Membership Secretary
The Membership Secretary acts as an intermediary between the wider SOSA Membership base and the SOSA Committee. And the Correspondence Clerk for SOSA members.

School Liaison Officer
The School Liaison Offers acts as an intermediary between the School and the SOSA Committee. The School Liaison Officer attends all committee meetings and is the Lead for the publication of the SOSA magazine ‘The Rocket’ and co-edits the content with the SOSA Membership Officer and School Marketing Manager.

Co-prepare and co-present a report on items discussed at the School Committee meeting to the SOSA Committee with the other School Committee Rep. Co-produce and co-present a School Committee Report at the SOSA AGM.

With the help of the SOSA committee runs the reunion and events. Also attends committee events etc.
