During 2020 / 2021, SOSA like many other organisations have embraced the use of technology especially Zoom in catching up with our members
In early June 2021, SOSA arranged and organised for two groups to come together over Zoom which spanned leavers from the mid 1940’s to the early 1980’s.
Thankfully, we have become a little more ‘experienced’ at tackling technology and we had no glitches this time. By splitting the groups, it enabled everyone to have more chat time, to have a good talk and discussion with their peers, and more importantly to re-connect after the various lockdowns of the 2020 and early 2021.
It was amazing to see people getting involved and reconnecting who had not spoken to anyone from their year nor been back to the school in over 40 years. This is certainly something to be celebrated. We look forward to welcoming all Old Scholars back whether over Zoom or ‘live’ in person in the next 18 months as and when restrictions are lifted.
We want to open the Zoom catch up calls to all who left irrespective of age. In order to arrange more of these, once again, please could we ask you to register here Membership – Sibford Old Scholars’ Association – Join our Newsletter (sosa.org.uk) – we can then send out an invitation to you. The next ones should be in early to mid-July 2021.
In the meantime, we do hope that you are all well and we really look forward to seeing you all very soon.
